IEI X Smart eCare Create A New-Generation
Smart Healthcare Solution

[Taiwan, Taipei, 26, February, 2019] The leading industrial computer provider, IEI Integration Corp., collaborates with Smart eCare Inc., which specializes in medical software development, to come up with a brand new medical information gathering system. It has been selected by Intel® to become one of the Market Ready Solutions in medical field and could be used in out-patient clinic, hemodialysis center and respiratory care center. Moreover, one of the medical touch panel series, the POCm-W24C-ULT3, innovated by IEI has been chosen to receive the iF Design Award 2019.

HIS and EMR structure

In this solution, IEI provides three series of medical touch panel PC, including AFOLUX GEN III, POC medical PCC and IOVU RISC-based PPC. They can be used as an optimized nursing station for body measurement, or moreover, weight measurement for dialysis patients. By integrating INDAS (Integrative Data Acquisition System), medical data gathering process can be easily achieved with fast and accurate results.

The POCm series consists of 22” and 24” medical grade FHD fanless panel PCs. Adapting three hot-swappable batteries weigh only 460 grams each makes the POCm series an ideal medical cart computer by reducing the total weight up to 5 kg and lasting for 8 to 16 hours in use; the battery docking station for fast charging takes only 3.5 hours to charge the battery from 0 to 100%. When combining with INDAS software, the vital signs, treatment parameters and clinical orders from medical devices can be gathered and integrated into the IoT telehealth medical equipment. With the aid of Smart eCare Inc’s m-health application, it is possible to provide caregivers fully integrated point-to-point solution that links medical devices to clinical workflow and outcomes.

Lots of success stories can be found in Taiwan’s hospitals these years, such as the Chang Gung Medical Foundation, the largest hospital in Taiwan, the Taipei Veterans General Hospital and the Excelsior Healthcare Group that has hundreds of out-patient clinics. It proves that the Market Ready Solution really does improve healthcare professionals’ work efficiency and reduce complicated workflows. Additionally, IEI actively promote and boost the medical solutions to other countries, resulting in many successful eHealth applications worldwide, such as in Australia, Japan and Vietnam.
