IEI to Showcase NANO-X100 for Edge AI Vision Applications, Built on AMD Ryzen™ AI Embedded X100 Series CPU, at AMD Advancing AI 2026
NEW TAIPEI CITY, Taiwan, July 24, 2026 —— IEI Integration Corp. today announced that it showcases a live technology demonstration highlighting the new NANO-X100 4" single-board computer for the AMR controller with edge AI inference capability at AMD Advancing AI 2026 in San Francisco. Powered by the AMD Ryzen™ AI Embedded X100 Series processor, NANO-X100 provides a compact embedded computing foundation for edge AI human behavior applications. The demonstration will also highlight the AiEi software platform for video analytics, event detection, and centralized management in edge surveillance applications.
The demonstration highlights IEI's technology direction for combining compact embedded computing with AI video analytics and event management. By bringing local AI processing, multi-stream video analysis, and intuitive event configuration to the edge, the solution concept is designed to support future applications in industrial safety, smart manufacturing, and facility security.
"Edge AI deployment requires more than raw computing performance alone. Customers need systems that can analyze video, define events, trigger alerts, and support real-time responses locally," said Y.T. Lee, Vice President at IEI. "By showcasing NANO-X100 alongside the AiEi software platform, IEI is exploring a hardware-plus-software approach to help system integrators accelerate the path toward future edge AI surveillance applications."
Compact AI Computing Foundation with Heterogeneous Processing
Powered by the AMD Ryzen™ AI Embedded X100 Series processor, the NANO-X100 integrates "Zen 5" CPU cores, AMD RDNA™ 3.5 GPU, and AMD XDNA™ 2 NPU acceleration, delivering up to 50 TOPS of dedicated NPU performance for AI inference. The platform combines CPU, GPU, and NPU cores to provide a compact computing foundation for machine vision, video analytics, AI inference, and industrial edge applications.
The NANO-X100 features onboard 64GB of LPDDR5x memory with up to 128GB available memory on selected SKUs to support high-bandwidth data throughput for demanding edge workloads, helping enable local AI vision processing and vision-language model (VLM) applications at the edge. It also provides flexible expansion and connectivity, including dual 2.5GbE ethernet, USB 3.2, and M.2 NVMe expansion, supporting camera connectivity, edge device integration, and space-constrained embedded applications.
AiEi Software for Proactive Event Management
The AiEi software platform transforms video surveillance from passive monitoring into proactive event management. Through a centralized web dashboard, users can analyze live streams, virtual fences, detect abnormal behaviors, and configure inspection scenarios using intuitive text-based descriptions. For example, the platform can verify whether operators are wearing required helmets and reflective vests, or detect when personnel enter restricted machinery zones.
The platform supports multi-model orchestration, allowing users to configure and apply supported models—including object detection, vision-language models (VLM), and image enhancement—based on specific surveillance and inspection needs. The platform also supports event snapshots, video file analysis, and real-time alerts through email or SMS. Looking ahead, the AiEi roadmap includes planned support for selected third-party VLM platform integration through platform tokens, as well as Vision-Language-Action (VLA) model connectivity for ROS/ROS2-based robotic systems.
