Integrating modern electronics into a rowing machine requires a combination of specific electronic hardware and customized settings to bring this dream to fruition. The large size of rowing machines has traditionally confined them to use in gyms and fitness centers because they required a team of people to transport, a lot of time to set up, and dedicated floor space.
However, rowing machines have become increasingly common in home gyms. As they become more common there is an increasing need for the control panel units to keep up with the technology that consumers have become accustomed to in their other electronics.

Updating the control interface from the boring, old digital watch inspired panels has become a critical point in providing added value to the end-user. This case study looks at the challenges in implementing a multimedia control panel in a rowing machine and how those issues were overcome for our client.
